Do you want to make a big difference in the lives of those who have survived a tragedy? Help provide materials for a new home in India? Send a willing volunteer to help a building project and watch their life transform? Support IN OUR HANDS and these possibilities will become reality!

From 2000 until 2016, I looked forward to traveling with others to help “re-create” and “renew” the world through service. Every trip or event involved a great deal of planning, along with physical, emotional and spiritual energy! Every homecoming brought deep joy to watch the relationships develop! A deep passion sparked within my soul to form a “trip-taking” program, to continue the work of helping others learn the joy of serving, and to develop friendships that come as a result of working side by side.

I believe that we are at a new time in the history of the world. As one change maker defined it: “We now must make the shift from Industrial Growth to a New Age of Deeper Consciousness if life on this planet is to survive - this cannot happen by governments or committees - we must all commit our best gifts and abilities to make life sustainable”….. It is true! So many marks of modern civilization appear to be crumbling daily - and yet there is something deeper developing. I believe IN OUR HANDS is part of the “next thing” that will participate in the healing and renewing of the earth.

Over the past two years it has been my joy to lead six teams on various types of trips - for more details and picture shows you can view our Past Trips. In October of this year I had a first meeting of a Working Board, and this group will begin in earnest in January of 2020 as we set goals, form a fundraising plan, and begin to look at sources of revenue that can sustain a program that eventually will involve life-changing service events around the globe. That is the picture that is continually in my heart - a globe with loving hands surrounding it.

Today I am asking you to consider making an initial gift to IN OUR HANDS as this launch of an on-going program takes place. There have been a few individual donations, but this next level will have three goals:

1) SPONSORSHIP funds to assist those who have a deep desire to participate in a particular trip but cannot quite pay.
2) DONATIONS to partner organizations, so they can continue the work they are called to do.
3) Day-to-day operating expenses of running a program.

I would LOVE to share more details with you - I have statistics about the “monetary” value of our combined volunteer hours and folders of inspiring stories from our travels. I cannot possibly include them all in one letter.

If you have resources available, or fundraising expertise, or a community or church group that would like a presentation, PLEASE CONTACT ME!! I am looking for opportunities to speak about IN OUR HANDS.

Consider making a donation to IN OUR HANDS before the end of 2019. (Gifts to IN OUR HANDS, a 501(c)(3) organization, are tax deductible to the full extent of the law under the IRS and Wisconsin/Minnesota tax regulations when itemizing deductions. Please consult your accountant for tax advice.)
