Life in 2020 certainly looks very different from 2019. The traveling joys of “IN OUR HANDS” to RE-create and RE-new the world has come to a complete halt. Our adventure to Kerala, India has been rescheduled to November, 2021. Our work as volunteers continues, but only in limited and local ways, as it is not wise to gather in larger groups. I am grateful for those who joined me in August and September at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in south Minneapolis where we helped organize and distribute food and basic needs to hundreds in the community who were victims of the protests and violence following George Floyd’s murder.
I still believe, even more so, that IN OUR HANDS will have much to do in the days just ahead. I anticipate many more adventures, and I am continuing to plan. When travel “opens up” again, it will certainly look very different, but there will be much to do. Your support is still needed.
